Management Advice was established in 2006 to provide advisory services
to the SME marketplace. With combined M & A experience totalling over 50 years,
our aim is to bring this knowledge, skills and experience to clients
in the SME market who are considering M & A projects. We aim to demystify
the process and eliminate the buzzwords and acronyms, explaining everything
in plain English.
Tim Luscombe

Tim
qualified as an accountant whilst working for an acquisitive
oil distribution business, where his experience began with post acquisition
integration and grew to include pre-acquisition due diligence. Further
post acquisition integration experience in electrical and electronic
manufacturing followed before he entered the IT industry with Madge
Networks, which floated on the NASDAQ stock exchange reporting a
78% compound annual growth rate at IPO.
Whilst at Madge, Tim worked in Europe, North America and then in
Hong Kong helping the business expand from a single base to more
than 40 offices world wide through start-up operations, acquisitions
and joint ventures.
Tim returned to the UK before the 1997 hand over of Hong Kong and
was subsequently appointed Managing Director of a £30M catalogue
distribution business. Under his leadership, the Company acquired
a number of SME installation businesses specializing in data cabling,
networking and telephony.
Since 2002, Tim has been a professional advisor focused on Merger
and Acquisitions.

John Fenwick

Qualified in business
administration, John has acquired practical knowledge in a
successful senior management career spanning 20 years in FTSE100
companies. Always in general management, but specialising in
business development he became M&A manager for the world’s largest
industrial services group where he acquired, and integrated small
and medium sized businesses into operating divisions. This was
followed by a period with a venture capital group acquiring and
setting up small businesses, before becoming industrial development
and acquisitions manager for one of the UK’s largest utility
companies. Trained and accredited as a business advisor, John has
ran his own consultancy practice for four years before
founding Management Advice
