Profile of our People

Management Advice was established in 2006 to provide advisory services to the SME marketplace.  With combined M & A experience totalling over 50 years, our aim is to bring this knowledge, skills and experience to clients in the SME market who are considering M & A projects. We aim to demystify the process and eliminate the buzzwords and acronyms, explaining everything in plain English.

Tim Luscombe

Tim qualified as an accountant whilst working for an acquisitive oil distribution business, where his experience began with post acquisition integration and grew to include pre-acquisition due diligence. Further post acquisition integration experience in electrical and electronic manufacturing followed before he entered the IT industry with Madge Networks, which floated on the NASDAQ stock exchange reporting a 78% compound annual growth rate at IPO.

Whilst at Madge, Tim worked in Europe, North America and then in Hong Kong helping the business expand from a single base to more than 40 offices world wide through start-up operations, acquisitions and joint ventures.

Tim returned to the UK before the 1997 hand over of Hong Kong and was subsequently appointed Managing Director of a £30M catalogue distribution business. Under his leadership, the Company acquired a number of SME installation businesses specializing in data cabling, networking and telephony.

Since 2002, Tim has been a professional advisor focused on Merger and Acquisitions.
