Many of us put off planning for retirement - in the same way we put off writing a will!

If you want to achieve your ambitions for your business - whether that is maximising the value of the business in a sale, or making sure that the team who helped you build the business are protected, you need to take steps to achieve those ambitions.

The trick here is to take a step back from the business and see it through the eyes of the acquirer or investor, identifying the strengths and weaknesses. When you know where you are, you can map a route to get to your destination.

Assessment and Valuation
 

Over the years we have developed a structured questionnaire that helps us assess a business from the acquirers perspective. We combine this with financial measurements to estimate a current market value for the business.

We can then provide you with a report that highlights those key strengths that would attract an acquirer, and equally will suggest areas for improvement.

Acquirers will be nervous of recent changes to the structure or performance of the business, so you want to have completed these at least 2 years prior to commencing the sale process -

it is never too early to start!
